...provide an RSS feed.
I think there's benefit in a global RSS feed of top articles, as well as a feed of new articles per section. I, for instance, have a keyboard with its own LCD screen that cycles through my favourite feeds, and if one catches my interest when I'm working, I press a button and the article opens in a browser on my laptop. I'd love to include the Science & Technology section of The Conversation among these happy distractions.

Hi Convo's, your word editor/processor has problems.
I really like your ezine/news.
However, many of your covering comments throw conniptions at single/double apostrophes, & insert trash symbols instead. The result is often mostly unreadable.
Is this another case of WORDPRESS dumbs ??
I'd send you a screen capture example, but your editor here won't allow insertion of jpegs !
Here's what it inserts instead: Screen shot 2012-04-14 at 9.53.18 AM.jpg
Another fix needed?

Chnage the font in the body of the articles
Reading the body of the articles is quite difficult with the current font. The titles are very legible, and the font on this comments page is fine as well, but for some reason the main text and comments in the articles is difficult to read. I am using IE 8, and I haven't tried to use this website at home yet (our work computer are quite dated!), so maybe it's only at work at this is an issue?
2 votesThanks for letting us know. We’re looking into this at the moment, it sounds like there might be a bug in Internet Explorer.

Establishing Credibility
After the article by John Wanna should we take you seriously - or is his article merely an illustration of how far University Academics are removed from reality? What is missing from your site is a clear statement of your funding sources. Perhaps you should make this obvious - so that readers can better assess your credibility.

when the daily emails contain words like "porn" or "sex" they get stuck in the email filter; could the team use * to get around this issue?
When the article is about "sex" or "porn" or similar topics, could an * be used in place of the vowels so that it will get past the email filter. I find that even though there are other articles that I would like to read, the email gets stuck in the email filter

Make an 'anywhere' app, see 'Guardian go anywhere' app. Downloads recent stories overnight, ready for access even without internet connectiv
I have found this feature of the Guardian app extremely useful as I don't have internet connectivity on my commute (in subway mostly, as I am an aussie living in New York). I love reading 'The Conversation', but can currently only do so when online. Please help!

I have just ditched Crikey after ? Years. Your prose lines are too short, suggest twice as long, with more lines/para, compress and compel,
I have typed it in suggest line ...
Your page appears sparse, lines too short, more lines/para will be better for yur presentation. Ask others, surely I am not the only one to think your pages look peculiar and to me unfriendly ?

return to your previous dashboard design where authors could see how many people read their article in the last 24 hours
That design allowed authors to discover (via trial and error) how people can to read their work. For example, one day I could post something on facebook and the next on twitter. What generates the most views? I thought that was one of the best features of the dashboard and I think it is a real shame it's gone.

I don't seem to be able to comment on articles at the moment 2.
Can I change from being an 'author' to 'commenter' without changing other aspects of my profile?

clear datestamps for each article should be visible on the main page
Simple really: add a clearly visible time/datstamp to the article leads/headers on the main page listings, either as small text near author, category, etc, or displayed on mouse rollover.
Cheers.

I've spotted a syntax error in a post I've made. I need an >Edit facility.

fix the commenting bug.
Bug report. If a full comment is posted after a reply, the comment is turned into another reply.

Allow a weekly digest subscription rather than the daily emails.
On the weekends you already send out a weekly digest. You should give users the option to subscribe to just that email rather than the daily email.

Give more options for sharing content!
Don't just offer facebook and twitter - sure they are the most used but partly because mainstream media doesn't offer the alternatives such as tumblr etc - if there was more options this would increase exposure and readership!

...update the Michael Ashley Antarctica story...please.
It has been 2-1/2 weeks since the last update. I've been following his updates on the old UNSW blogs for many years. Can you at least put up an interim statement that he's out of communication, or ???
